Thursday, February 23, 2012 ( 12:03 AM ) melrose  Mary, (Gail's Mother) who is now 94 - especially enjoyed the day. When we were at Gold Rock, she golfed every day and still hits a very straight ball. She now plays cards every day at Black Rock and can beat many of us at any card game. Way to be - Mary! # Wednesday, February 22, 2012 ( 11:49 PM ) melrose   On Tuesday Bill and I travelled down to Gold Rock where we had an "Old Time" Golf Tournament. Gold Rock is the R.V. Park we were at before coming to Black Rock. We had a great time at the Golf and really enjoyed seeing the people we know that are still there. Gordon, Gail and Bob where fortunate to each get a "hole in one" which is not easy to do. It was a great day of remembering, golfing and eating. Carl and Diane are wonderful hosts. # ( 11:37 PM ) melrose  We have been very busy here in the Desert - so many things to do and many places to go. We thoroughly enjoyed a week-end visit by Annette and Keith who are at Gold Canyon Resort (East of Phoenix) for the winter - we went to Mexico and Yuma on Sunday - then on Monday, Tom and Jo-Ann from Penticton stopped in for a visit. It was fun to have all of us together. # |
